🍀 On July 1st, 2023, the Faculty of Accounting and Auditing, in coordination with CFAA, organized the Annual Academic Summary and Farewell Ceremony for K58 students of 2022-2023 (FAA Fly High 2023). The event was graced by distinguished guests, including Ms. Le Thi My Hanh, Head of the Foreign Relations Department, ACCA Vietnam; Ms. Bui Thi Hanh, representative from Macquarie University, Australia; Mr. Le Nhu Hieu, Audit Senior at Ernst & Young Vietnam, former student of Accounting and Auditing K54; Ms. Nguyen Thi Nu, Audit Senior at Ernst & Young Vietnam, former student of Accounting and Auditing K54; Ms. Le Thi Thuy Ha, ACCA member, Specialist at the Financial Center, Headquarters of the Military Bank, former student of Accounting and Auditing with ACCA career orientation K55; Mr. Luu Cong Trinh, Efficient Operation Manager at Vinpearl – Vingroup, former student of Accounting and Auditing with standard K55; Ms. Le Hoang Nguyen Huong, former student K56, specialized in Accounting and Auditing with ACCA.
🍀Representing the Foreign Trade University, there were Associate Professor Dr. Tran Thi Kim Anh, Head of the Faculty of Accounting and Auditing; Dr. Nguyen Thi Phuong Mai, Deputy Head of the Faculty of Accounting and Auditing; Dr. Bui Lien Ha, Head of the Political Affairs and Student Affairs Office; Dr. Vo Xuan Loc, Secretary of the University’s Youth Union; Dr. Hoang Ngoc Thuan, Head of the Management Board of Cooperative Education; Dr. Nguyen Thuy Anh, Deputy Head of the Faculty of the Business Administration, lecturers and students from the Faculty of Accounting and Auditing.
🍀The ceremony began with a captivating performance from the Revolutionary Songs Propaganda Club of the Foreign Trade University. Following that, Associate Professor Dr. Tran Thi Kim Anh delivered a welcome speech. Her speech shared the challenging four-year journey that both the faculty and students had gone through due to the COVID-19 pandemic, highlighting the outstanding achievements of the students in their studies, extracurricular activities, and community service. Particularly, the students achieved remarkable results in the global ACCA examinations, becoming prize winners in some subjects. This is a great success and a testament to the contributions and relentless efforts of the students in the field of Accounting and Auditing. These achievements are not only a source of pride for the students but also a motivation to continue striving for success in the future.
🍀Following the summary of the academic year 2022-2023, there were sharing sessions about postgraduate study opportunities for the graduates of the Department of Accounting and Auditing. Dr. Nguyen Thuy Anh shared about the opportunities for studying master’s degrees (MBA and EMBA) at the Foreign Trade University. Ms. Bui Thi Hanh provided valuable information about the two-year master’s program in Australia, such as the Master of Professional Accounting integrated with ACCA certification and other programs at Macquarie University, as well as the benefits of the cooperation program with the Foreign Trade University for ACCA students. Ms. Le Hoang Nguyen Huong shared her experiences in choosing scholarships and how to build an impressive portfolio. According to her, candidates should focus on specific types of scholarships as each type has its own criteria.
🍀Continuing the sharing session on postgraduate study opportunities, there were also sharing sessions from alumni about their experiences in their challenging and opportunistic career paths. Ms. Nguyen Thuy Ha and Ms. Nguyen Thi Nu emphasized the importance of balancing work and life. Mr. Trinh shared his personal experience in applying to one of the largest corporations in Vietnam. Mr. Le Nhu Hieu believed that students should have a proactive and positive attitude in both work and life, as it helps them adapt to any working environment.
🍀Interwoven between the summary and panel discussions were award ceremonies for student research projects, commendation certificates for outstanding students at the department level, and students who achieved high academic performance. In addition, speeches from exceptional students and performances added diversity and excitement to the ceremony.
🍀The final part of the ceremony was dedicated to honoring and bidding farewell to the Class of K58. Through speeches and sharing from the students, their contributions and achievements were recognized. This not only demonstrated the efforts and diligence of the Class of K58 but also showcased the dedication of the Department of Accounting and Auditing in educating and guiding students.
🍀The Annual Academic Summary and Farewell Ceremony for the Class of K58 of the Faculty of Accounting and Auditing marked the end of the 2022-2023 academic year, filled with glorious achievements.
