The FAA has the task of training Accounting with 02 training programmes: Accounting – Auditing Standard programme and ACCA-oriented Accounting – Auditing programme. These training programmes aim to equip students with basic knowledge of business, accounting, auditing, taxation, finance as well as in-depth professional knowledge and skills through financial accounting, management accounting, tax, financial management, auditing, business law, practice skills in making financial statements, tax reports, business effective operation management… FAA is proud to be the first higher education unit in Vietnam to launch the ACCA-oriented programme that integrates 9 courses of applied knowledge and applied skills of ACCA certificate.
With 2 student intakes of the FAA having graduated, the rate of students having graduated with excellent and high-distinction performance always reach over 60%. The pass rate of ACCA papers in the global exams of students is always higher than the global pass rate. Many students of the programme achieved the Prize Winner (Recognition to students who have achieved the highest marks), especially in the exam in June 2021, student Phi Lan Anh achieved the highest score in the world in Financial Reporting. Many bachelors of ACCA-oriented programme have been recruited by big auditing firms like Big4 right after graduation.
In order to continuously improve the quality of training in the direction of linking theory to practice, training skills, attitudes and professional ethics for students, the FAA pays great attention to cooperation development activities with professional associations, enterprises, banks to find scholarships, internships, job opportunities for students such as Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Institute of Management Accountants (IMA), CPA Australia, Vietnam Association of Certified Public Accountants (VACPA), KEB Hana Bank (Korea), E&Y, KPMG, Deloitte and ACCA Training Centers such as Smart Train, FTMS, Vietsourcing… Scientific research activities among students as well as student club activities are also continuously promoted and actively supported by the FAA. Specifically, over the past 10 years, the FAA has continuously organized the Student Scientific Research Competition in the field of Accounting – Auditing, sponsored the Talented Auditor Contest (TAC), Auditing journey … These activities are not only an opportunity for students of the FAA to practice their skills and approach employers, but they contribute to improving the image of the Faculty as well.
