On 20/06/19, Faculty of Economics and Economics held a seminar on “Accounting – Auditing and the sustainable development of enterprises”.
Attending the seminar were Ms. Phan Le My Hanh – Deputy General Director of Real Estate Group CEO; Ms. Tran Thi Thu Loan – Deputy Head of Training Department, AASC Auditing Firm Co., Ltd. On the side of NTU, there were Assoc. Dao Thi Thu Giang – Vice Rector, Assoc. Prof., Dr. Tran Thi Kim Anh – Dean of Faculty of Economics and Technology, leaders of several faculties, lecturers and students of Faculty of Economics and Technology.
Speaking at the opening of the seminar, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Thi Thu Giang affirmed that today businesses are increasingly interested in and increasing social activities to contribute positively as well as minimize negative impacts on society. society and the environment. Enterprises not only operate for short-term economic values, but also aim to fulfill social responsibilities for sustainable development. Therefore, providing information on social responsibility activities or activities for sustainable development has become an urgent need for businesses. Accounting and auditing activities of enterprises as a tool to collect, process and provide information, play an important role in the process of implementing social responsibility, contributing to sustainable development. Therefore, the study of accounting – auditing and the sustainable development of enterprises is very urgent and catching up with the general trend. She also suggested many orientations to promote teaching activities as well as scientific research activities of the Faculty to meet the requirements of innovation and development of training majors in the University.
Workshop participants listened to 4 presentations including: “Introduction to standards and frameworks for reporting information on sustainable development in the world”; “Sustainable development disclosure level and role of social responsibility accounting – case study in construction materials companies listed on Vietnam stock market”; “Analysis of inorganic growth, organic growth and capacity costs in corporate budget planning”; “The influence of CSR awareness on customer loyalty: a case study of banks in Vietnam”. Next, the delegates exchanged and discussed the issues surrounding the theme of the workshop.
