SITE VISIT & PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE PROGRAM AT VIET DUC CONCRETE COMPANY FOR STUDENTS FROM QUANG NINH CAMPUS

❤️ On November 12, 2024, students from K60, K61, and K62 of the Accounting – Auditing program at Foreign Trade University – Quang Ninh Campus had the opportunity to participate in a site visit at Viet Duc Co., Ltd., located at Km 20 – National Highway 5 – Trung Trac – Van Lam – Hung Yen. Viet Duc Co., Ltd. is a leading supplier of ready-mix concrete products in Hanoi and nearby provinces. The delegation from Quang Ninh Campus, including staff, faculty members, and students, was warmly welcomed by the company’s leadership: Ms. Ta Lan Phuong – Director; Ms. Pham Thi Tuyn – Deputy Director of External Affairs; Ms. Pham Thi Loan – Chief Accountant; and Ms. Dang Thi Bien – Assistant to the Director.

❤️ On behalf of Foreign Trade University, the participants included Dr. Tran Thi Thoa, MSc. Bui Thi Phuong – Specialist from Quang Ninh Campus; Dr. Nguyen Quang Huy – Lecturer in Auditing Department, Accounting and Auditing Faculty, along with over 100 students from Cohorts 60, 61, and 62 of the Accounting – Auditing program.

⭐️ During the site visit, students had the opportunity to interact with the company’s leadership team, learn about the organizational structure, business activities, products, and production processes of the company. They toured various departments, including the fresh concrete and commercial concrete production areas. Students were introduced to the specific functions of different accounting roles such as accounts payable, inventory accounting, and payroll accounting. These activities provided valuable insights, allowing students to apply the theoretical knowledge they had acquired in class to a real-world setting.

⭐️⭐️ In particular, the students were guided by the Accounting Department staff, who provided demonstrations and hands-on practice of some basic accounting tasks using the company’s software system. The students were also able to review original documents generated from these transactions, gaining practical experience directly from the source.
