On the evening of Friday, October 13, 2023, the Faculty of Accounting and Auditing, in collaboration with the CFAA Club, organized Orientation Day 2023 for the incoming students of the K62 cohort.
🌟 Attending the program from the FTU were Associate Professor Dr. Pham Thu Huong – Vice Rector of the University of Foreign Trade, Associate Professor Dr. Tran Thi Kim Anh – Head of the Department of Accounting and Auditing, and Dr. Nguyen Thi Phuong Mai – Deputy Head of the Department of Accounting and Auditing, as well as Ms. Nguyen Huyen Minh – Head of Communications and External Relations. From the educational collaboration units, there were Ms. Khuat Thi Lien Huong – Director of ACCA Vietnam Training, Ms. Le Thi My Hanh – Head of External Relations of ACCA Vietnam. Representing the businesses and partners, there were the presence of EY Vietnam Limited Liability Company: Mr. Nguyen Hoang Linh – Deputy General Director, Ms. Le Thi Ngoc Ha – Director of Human Resources, EY Vietnam, and Mr. Le Nhu Hieu – Head of the Audit Team. Representing PwC Vietnam Limited Liability Company: Ms. Nghiem Hoang Lan – Deputy General Director, Ms. Vu Minh Chau – responsible for Human Resources at PwC, and representatives from various academies and training centers: Ms. Tran Thi To Dung – Director of HV Smart Train Hanoi, Mr. Nguyen Duc Thai – Director of SAPP Training, Mr. Nguyen Phi Long – Director of the BISC Center.
🎤 To kick off the program, Associate Professor Dr. Pham Thu Huong and Associate Professor Dr. Tran Thi Kim Anh delivered congratulatory speeches to the new students of the Faculty, providing an overview of the Accounting and Auditing field, the faculty members, and life and studies at the FTU. Representing ACCA Vietnam, Ms. Khuat Thi Lien Huong also shared insights about the ACCA program and the portrait of the “Gen Z” generation, along with the future professional requirements.
🎓 At the Orientation Day, the attendees received valuable insights into the accounting profession, its requirements, and career prospects from experts from the world’s largest auditing firms, EY and PwC, through the Career Talk session. Furthermore, partner companies offered scholarships and valuable gifts to the students of the Faculty of Accounting and Auditing.
Subsequently, a roundtable discussion with alumni and outstanding students of the Faculty provided interesting and useful advice on study methods, personal development, and the secret to balancing studies, extracurricular activities, participation in specialized exams, and scientific research.
⭐ Throughout the program, the new students of K62 enjoyed entertaining and captivating cultural performances from the department’s Icebreakers groups. Particularly, the faculty members from the Faculty of Accounting and Auditing presented a special performance, singing “A Thousand Dreams of Vietnam,” as a message of encouragement to the new students – the generation that will continue to dream, aspire, and uplift Vietnam to new heights.
Wishing the new students of the Faculty of Accounting and Auditing a strong mindset and thorough preparation for the journey ahead, as they pioneer and progress towards the future.
